Akagera national park lies in eastern part of Rwanda bordering Tanzania.
The park was founded in 1934 by Belgian government. It is the only Rwanda’s savanna park characterized by wood land and semi-woodland type of vegetation with savanna animals. The park has the largest swamp that boarders lake iheme Near Tanzania which has big numbers of crocodiles and the hippos.
The park is a home to the big five animals like the rhinocereous, lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes after the reintroduction of the rhinos in 2017 and the lions in July 2015. This after the 1990 Rwanda population running in to the parks to seek for refuge thus killing most of the lions and also before the civil war there was reduction and extinct of animals due to serious pouring in the country.

The two days travel to akagera national park tour will start and end in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital. You will set off early to the national park where you shall do a game drive and boat whilst there.
